Echoes of Somewhere

"Using a combination of projection, digital collage and painted sketches, my compositions are constructed from personal and family photographs and found stills from vintage films which gives the work a resonance of nostalgia and longing.

I rely on the subtle cues in my figures’ body language to shape the narrative and emotional weight of the composition, providing the viewer space to develop their own interpretation of the scene.

This new series, Echoes of Somewhere, explores our relationship with water as a source of joy, solitude and a place of discovery."
