Nickerson's body of work, Pacific 25, depicts Victoria Harbor, Oak Bay, Brentwood Bay and Sooke P.P. in full colour with mark-making and impasto as is their celebrated style.  It is important for the artist as a regional landscape painter to experience and reflect on places painted to be able to represent them from a unique perspective.  From the perspective of a whitehall boat offshore, Nickerson's work celebrates emotion and culture of place here and now.
