Curated by Gallerist Joe Bembridge and in collaboration with Design Victoria Festival, Gallery Merrick presents an exciting duet exhibition featuring the bold works of Seoul-based South Korean artist Yool Kim and Victoria and New York-based artist Noah Becker. 

Yool Kim’s layered, expressive figurative work explores identity and subconscious thought through impulsive mark-making and abstracted faces. Her energetic, emotionally charged canvases reflect an inner dialogue and a desire for recognition, with a visual language that is both chaotic and poetic.

Noah Becker, a renowned oil painter and publisher of Whitehot Magazine, contributes a contrasting yet complementary body of work. His works reimagine traditional portraiture with a stylized, modern sensibility.
